Our Organization
Bruised Reed Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation registered in the state of California. Our board members and leaders represent a variety of Christian denominations, and we are united in being fully Christian in our beliefs.
Non-Profit 501c3
Bruised Reed Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of California and recognized by the federal government as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
At present, the ministry does not employ paid staff; its work is carried forward by volunteers who share in the vision of making the good news of God’s Kingdom accessible to all, especially the marginalized. Financial support for the ministry comes primarily from its founder, board members, and individual contributors who believe in its mission.
Bruised Reed Ministries operates as the parent organization of initiatives such as TheGospelPreached.org, a digital platform dedicated to curating, organizing, and sharing sermon content from across the body of Christ. The ministry’s present structure emphasizes stewardship, collaboration, and innovation. Rather than building around large budgets or paid staff, its current model relies on creativity, partnerships, and careful use of technology—particularly AI—to expand access to biblical teaching and accelerate understanding of the gospel.
The organization’s lean structure provides both freedom and flexibility. It allows us to channel resources toward mission-driven priorities—content curation, technological integration, and innovative methods of teaching—rather than administrative overhead. As the ministry grows, we are positioned to scale thoughtfully, adding staff and resources as God provides and as the work requires.
Interdenominational
Our commitment to being interdenominational and inclusive across church sizes, geographic regions, and ethnicities demonstrates our belief that diversity within the unified Body of Christ is both possible and valuable.
Every individual—and ministry—has a unique perspective. The self-worth that emerges when we value our God-given uniqueness frees us to appreciate others’ uniqueness, without comparison or demands that they think like us. While we may share common values, the one distinct value that each of us is passionate about will define our calling and the focus of our ministry.
This focus drives each of us to emphasize certain aspects of God’s character and His work in the world. When we honor these different callings rather than trying to make everyone prioritize what we are passionate about, we create something collectively that none of us could accomplish individually—a fuller, richer understanding of who God is and what He desires for His people.
Statement of Faith
-
We believe in one infinite, intelligent God, the Creator and Owner of heaven and earth, who existed before and will exist after they pass away. He is not a manifestation of a force or element of nature, but the Creator of all forces and elements, over which He has complete control. He is perfect, possesses all wisdom, is loving beyond human comprehension, and created the heavens, earth, and mankind out of love and generosity. We affectionately refer to Him as God the Father.
-
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, sent into the world to reconcile mankind to God. His arrival was prophesied in the Old Testament of the Bible. He is “the Lamb who was slain before the foundations of the world.” We believe he is God in flesh, has the exact nature of the Father, and you can know God the Father’s nature and character by observing the behavior and teachings of Jesus Christ.
-
We believe Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, and that God punished Jesus with the punishment that all of humanity deserves for our sins.
-
We believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, that he is at the Father’s right hand interceding for us, that all power in Heaven and Earth was given to him, and that one day He will establish a kingdom on Earth that He will rule.
-
We believe that God so loved the world that He sent His Son, Jesus, to voluntarily die for the sins of the world. Whoever believes in the Son and His teachings will not perish but have everlasting life. Upon this heartfelt confession of belief, a person is born again by the power of the Holy Spirit and justified by God. This means that his past and future sins are not counted against him by God and that the goodness of God will lead him to change his thinking and ultimately behavior, gradually making him more like God in thinking and behavior. Those who are born again also receive an opportunity for abundant life on earth now when they follow the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ.
-
We believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to Earth to be with us as a Comforter and Guide while He is not physically present.
-
We believe that those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior become part of The Church, which includes all believers in Christ regardless of location, race, denomination, or the time of history in which they lived.
-
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God, written and curated by men and women under the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe that the unity of The Church is preserved by a common commitment to the foundational truths of Christianity, while allowing for disagreement on secondary theological questions, religious rituals, and political viewpoints. We acknowledge that certain core doctrines are fundamental to Christianity. However, one should approach with caution religious groups that require particular interpretations of non-foundational scriptures, adherence to specific political views, or specific religious rituals as tests of authentic faith.
